Sidepath has exclusively partnered with AT&T, one of the top international telecommunications companies, to provide voice/data private line products. Products offered are PRI, DS1, DS3 and fiber optic connections (such as OC-3, OC-12, OC-48, OC-192 and Ethernet). Bandwidth options range from one megabyte to multiple gigabytes. ISDN PRI ISDN PRI is a high-speed digital connection for transmission of voice, data, Internet, and video traffic. ISDN PRI consolidates 23 voice or data service channels (each at 64 Kbps) on one 1.544 Mbps (DS1) transport line into a PBX or computer network. The 24th channel carries signaling information. Our clients can use all 23 channels for voice only or for a combination of voice/data services. |
The speed of ISDN PRI opens opportunities for a whole new breed of applications. Telecommuting, teleradiology, remote healthcare, distance learning, remote broadcasting, sound transfer, and CAD/CAM engineering are some of the uses. DS1 DS1 is a point-to-point, private line digital connection for relatively high-volume requirements. DS1 offers a maximum bandwidth of 1.544 Mbps and provides a cost-effective solution for your voice, data, Internet, and video traffic. Our clients can use DS1 as one single circuit or divide (multiplex) it into multiple channels (up to 24 DS0 circuits at 64 Kbps each) for various applications. DS1 segregates our clients' sensitive data traffic on their own dedicated, private line, thus allowing their communications to remain secure and private. Some applications for DS1 are data management/file sharing, medical imaging, CAD/CAM, video conferencing, local and long distance network access, publishing/printing, and disaster prevention/recovery. DS3 DS3 is a point-to-point, private line digital connection for extremely high-volume requirements. DS3 offers a maximum bandwidth of 45 Mbps and provides a cost-effective solution for voice, data, Internet, and video traffic. Our clients can use the entire circuit for a single, high-bandwidth application, or they can divide (multiplex) the DS3 into multiple channels (up to 28 DS1s or 672 DS0 channels). Upgrading to DS3 is recommended when a client's network consists of multiple DS1s and still lack capacity. DS3 segregates our clients' sensitive data traffic on their own dedicated, private line, thus allowing their communications to remain secure and private. Some applications for DS3 are high-volume data management/file sharing, medical imaging, CAD/CAM, video conferencing, local and long distance network access, Internet Service Provider (ISP) access, publishing/printing, and disaster prevention/recovery. GigaMAN® GigaMAN® is a dedicated, fiber-optic, point-to-point gigabit Ethernet service that links LANs within a metropolitan or regional area. GigaMAN transmits data at a rate of up to 1.0 Gbps, which is 22 times faster than DS3. GigaMAN allows our clients to take full advantage of enterprise LAN speeds while transmitting high-volume data-intensive traffic between sites. It works without adding complex and expensive WAN hardware. Using the same LAN transmission protocol and existing management/support systems, our clients can integrate the high-speed service to their network transparently. Some applications for GigaMAN are interoffice collaboration, large file transfers, and shared business resources among multiple metropolitan locations. SONET (OC-3, OC-12, OC-48 and OC-192) Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) is an optical fiber point-to-point or ring network backbone that accommodates our clients' needs for additional capacity. SONET allows for consolidating all voice, data, Internet, video, and Ethernet traffic on one continuous optical fiber structure and on a single, fail-safe platform. SONET also offers a cost-effective way to integrate all our clients' WAN traffic through a SONET optical carrier network (OCN) circuit with add/drop multiplexing. SONET can sustain as much as 9.95 Gbps of traffic and can serve as a fiber infrastructure for multiple DS0, DS1, and DS3 circuits. It can also carry large bandwidth signals, such as OC-3 (155 Mbps), OC-12 (655 Mbps), OC-48 (2.48 Gbps), and OC-192 (9.6 Gbps). SONET can also concatenate the large bandwidth signals to transport data protocols more efficiently. Every additional connection among our clients' locations complicates network management. SONET reduces the complexity because our clients can aggregate much of their infrastructure onto an optical network. Some applications for SONET are LAN and WAN interconnection, consolidation of network circuitry, exchange of detailed data/image files, and connection of multiple distributed locations. |
