How Does It Work? Our proven approach to BC/DR includes: BC/DR Assessment: What's at risk? We conduct an assessment of the types of hazards that exist across a variety of points of view, from natural hazards to employee well being. The work product includes data from several government agencies on the hazards and historical context of those hazards specific to your location(s). Business/Application Impact Analysis: What's it worth? This is where we really determine what the organization is trying to protect. Rather than look at the business processes from the standpoint of “impacts” to the organization for being down, the approach is to have the organization determine and document the value of each business process. Process and Technology Mapping: Where does it live? We deliver a detailed Visio flow chart of each business process in both a normal production environment and then also in a continuity state. Then we do the same for IT – with a Visio diagram of the infrastructure supporting each business process for production and continuity. Business continuity Determine the business processes that enable your company to function until systems can be restored. These processes include customer communication and coordination as well as manual workarounds. Recovery and Continuity Tactics: How will you recover? The executives are gathered to make some decisions on the best way to close the gaps between the current state recovery capability and the recovery objectives they decided upon in the second phase. BC/DR Planning: Who's responsible? At this phase of the cycle, we provide detailed plans that easily allow the Incident Management Team, the identified Business Continuity and IT teams to execute detailed instructions to recover quickly and orderly from any hazard.
