  Sidepath…Your Value-Added Partner

Irvine, CA, April 30, 2007 –Sidepath, Inc. assists Southern California businesses – ranging from small or mid-sized companies to enterprises – with obtaining data services and network connectivity, including Internet access, dedicated private lines, and data center hosting.

As an AT&T Solutions Provider, Sidepath was honored with the AT&T Sales Excellence Award for Top Growth in the AT&T West Region for 2006. This success is due to Sidepath’s strong partner relationship with AT&T, as well as the priority and value that Sidepath places on maintaining long-term relationships with its customers. Customers know they can trust Sidepath to provide excellent customer service and can also depend on AT&T’s solid and reliable network.

Sidepath provides data services such as T1, DS3, Ethernet, and fiber-optic connections, as well as Internet access services. Bandwidth options range from one megabyte to multiple gigabytes. When customers need new or increased data services, they contact Sidepath because they can depend on Sidepath to manage the project from the start of the sales process to the completion of the installation.

This trust and dependence on Sidepath have been more apparent within the recent months, particularly when customers desire to utilize AT&T products and services. AT&T’s mergers have resulted in many personnel changes within the direct sales teams as well as in the internal support teams. Many small to mid-sized companies have found it advantageous to work with Sidepath for more steadfast attention. Sidepath provides these companies with AT&T pricing and contracts, submits orders, provides project management, and also assists with post-installation problem resolution. Sidepath has become their value-added partner!

Sidepath’s three Senior Principals, Jim Andronaco, Patrick Mulvee and David Griffin, all previously worked at SBC/AT&T and were major contributors to growing SBC’s data center hosting and Virtual Private Network (VPN) revenue in the West Region in just a few years. Their former status as SBC/AT&T employees enables them to more easily maneuver through many process hurdles incumbent within large telecommunications providers. For instance, with AT&T’s current Managed Internet Services (MIS) T1 promotion, Sidepath can readily obtain quotes and validate if customers qualify for this promotion. Sidepath’s provision of “no obligation” quotes saves time and resources for the customers. Being consultative in its approach, Sidepath works with its customers to provide the best and most cost-effective network solutions.

Easy to Manage Data Storage
IT managers are looking for easy to manage and cost-effective solutions to meet their continual growing needs for efficient and high capacity data storage. The trend in data storage is moving from the traditional direct-attached storage (DAS) to more efficient storage area network (SAN) products. To help meet its customers’ challenges, Sidepath has partnered with three vendors – EqualLogic, Compellent, and Nexsan – to provide varying solutions for its customers’ data storage needs.

Each vendor has its special focus as indicated below:

EqualLogic’s PS Series arrays are intelligent, iSCSI-based storage that integrates an advanced and comprehensive software feature set with a fully-redundant and hot-swappable hardware architecture. This solution delivers the benefits of networked storage in a modular, enterprise-class storage platform that is easy to install, manage and grow, as well as dramatically reduce the costs of storage acquisition and ongoing operations. EqualLogic's PS300E storage array won Storage Products Guide’s 2006 Product Excellence Award. EqualLogic’s midrange storage arrays took top honors in the Quality Award for 2006 from Storage Magazine and Diogenes Labs.

Compellent’s Storage Center utilizes Dynamic Block Architecture technology to intelligently optimize data movement by using metadata to keep track of all blocks. Storage Center provides scalable, build-as-you-grow hardware, a single unified interface, and a suite of software applications for dynamic capacity, data progression, data instant replay for quick recovery, and remote instant replay. Storage Center is also technology independent, providing simultaneous support for fibre channel and iSCSI server connections. This sophisticated approach to storing, recovering and managing data means customers can purchase less storage than normally thought needed for complete safety. Compellent was named CRN’s #1 Storage Standout and also won InfoWorld’s 2006 SAN of the Year award.

Nexsan Technologies develops secure storage appliances and modular, high capacity disk storage systems. Its products include the world's fastest SATA storage systems that lead the storage industry with the highest density of any RAID enclosures in the world. Nexsan’s extreme density SATABeast™ sets new standards for high-capacity storage systems and delivers the industry's best performance and cost-effectiveness in a scalable disk solution with revolutionary power saving technology. Assureon®, the first Secure Intelligent Archive Appliance, was built to store fixed content data and is especially useful for organizations who must comply with government regulations, need encryption of files, or offsite replication. Storage Magazine UK named SATABeast as 2006 Disk Product of the Year and Assureon as 2006 Security Product of the Year.

WAN Optimization/Replication
To assist customers in meeting their challenges of maintaining enormous gigabytes/terabytes of information so that data is kept up-to-date and accessible to company employees in real-time, Sidepath provides WAN optimization and data center replication solutions. Sidepath has partnered with Silver Peak, a company that developed WAN acceleration products to reduce the amount of traffic sent across the WAN and to deliver information locally whenever possible. This technology improves the costs associated with application delivery – from staffing, infrastructure and facility costs to expenditures in application software and WAN bandwidth.

Silver Peak’s award winning NX family of appliances improves backup, replication and recovery between data centers and facilitates branch office server and storage centralization by improving application performance across the WAN. The NX appliances combine innovative new technologies, such as disk based date reduction and loss mitigation, with traditional techniques, such as QoS, TCP acceleration and compression, to deliver a high capacity solution that works across all enterprise applications. The NX appliances can also process nearly 10 times more application sessions and bandwidth than alternative appliances, thus making Silver Peak ideally suited for high capacity WAN links that support large volumes of data. In addition, Silver Peak’s security features ensure all data, including data on local disk drives, are encrypted in hardware using advanced AES 128 bit encryption. Deep packet inspection enables fine-grained security policies, such as barring unwanted traffic from traversing the WAN.

As a result, WAN acceleration provides an extremely rapid return on investment, plus the intangible benefit of increased end user productivity and unsurpassed IT satisfaction. Silver Peak’s NX-7500 appliance won Techworld’s 2006 Acceleration Product of the Year.

Data Center Hosting
Many enterprises utilize data center hosting services to incorporate WAN optimization solutions to improve the performance and reliability of data backup, storage, replication and recovery. Data center hosting is also a great solution for meeting a company’s business continuity and disaster recovery planning needs, as well as for other mission-critical operations. Since very few companies can afford to invest in their own data centers, companies normally outsource their data center hosting services to various vendors.

With their combined 30 years of experience primarily in the data center hosting, advanced IP networks, and telecommunications arenas, Sidepath’s Principals are well networked with data center providers to obtain the most suitable solution for their customers. They emphasize on maintaining honest and professional long-term customer relationships, and their goal is to be an external arm of their customers’ network planning and expansion strategies.
