Disk-Based Backup…No More Tape!
Sidepath partners with Data Domain, a pioneer and leader of disk-based backup and network-based disaster recovery systems. Data Domain has effectively created a new category of data protection: disk-to-disk (D2D) backup that provides massive data de-duplication. Data Domain systems use Global Compression, its high-speed de-duplication technology, to store several months of backup and recovery data at a price point equivalent or lower than tape via massive data de-duplication and compression.
